Naples Traffic Accident Injures Three

On Sunday afternoon, an auto accident on Alligator Alley sent three people to the hospital. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two of the injured were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital via MedFlight helicopter, while another was taken to NCH Downtown Naples Hospital via ground transport. No fatalities have been reported.

Emergency responders received a call about the motor vehicle crash just after 5pm on Sunday. Another 911 call indicated that there was an accident at the 76 mile market, but that call may have been a second report of the accident at the 84 mile marker.

Both lanes of northbound Interstate 75 were shut down as medics worked at the scene of the accident. Police are still uncertain on how many vehicles were involved in the traffic accident. An initial scanner indicated four, but only two vehicles had been towed from the scene as of Sunday evening.
